Cookie policy
The cookies and similar storage used by the current Locaro website.
Current use
Google Analytics 4 is optional and loads through Google Tag Manager only with your analytics consent. It helps us understand visits and enquiries. Google receives technical connection information and pseudonymous usage events. We do not send form contents to Analytics. Advertising pixels, Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. You can browse and send enquiries without accepting analytics.
Essential preference record
When you save your preferences, local storage on this website’s origin stores a record named locaro.cookie-preferences. It contains version 2, necessary: true, your analytics choice, marketing: false, a saved date and an expiry date 180 days later. This is browser local storage, not an HTTP cookie. It is not sent to an advertising service. Browser storage does not automatically expire: the preferences tool removes expired records when the site is loaded or preferences are reopened.
Changing or clearing your choice
Open Cookie preferences from the footer or this page at any time. You can accept or reject analytics and withdraw your choice. Withdrawal stops Analytics, clears its first-party cookies and reloads the page; it does not erase previously collected data. You can remove the preference record using your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing it does not turn on any tracking. If storage is blocked, the site remains usable and optional tracking stays off.
Analytics cookies and retention
With consent, Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Cookie expiry is configured to 180 days and may be renewed by activity. User and event data retention is configured to 14 months; aggregated reports may be retained longer. Google processes Analytics data under its applicable privacy and service terms. Provider and international-transfer details remain part of the operator information to be completed.
External content and future changes
Images and map resources may be delivered by external services, which receive connection information needed to serve those resources. This is distinct from permission to use optional tracking. If optional tools are added, the inventory and preferences interface must be updated and consent requested before they run where required.
Enquiry attribution
With analytics consent, we store the entry page and campaign identifiers in session storage for up to 30 minutes to understand which campaign led to your enquiry. We do not store the full URL or arbitrary query parameters. This record is removed when analytics consent is withdrawn.
